RENEW REFRESH REFOCUS
CASNFCI SCRIPTURE & PRAYER FOR THE DAY

The Mission:
“The Son … can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”— John 5:19
We can’t read the Bible without getting the sense that Jesus was a “man on a mission.” Even as a boy of twelve, he was deeply conscious that he ought to be tending to his Father’s interests Luke 2:41-49. Later in life, it remained clear that his Father’s interests were the motive for every word he spoke and every deed he did. “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work” John 4:34.
Jesus came to earth to fulfill, to the letter, the Father's perfect will. He obeyed God's perfect Law, listened to His Father's voice, and was directed in all things to do His Father's pleasure. Nothing that Christ did in His life was independent or in opposition to the will of God. Nothing in life or death seemed to shake Jesus from His mission. Christ lived His life as God determined to perfect the work of redemption. Matthew 3:17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased.”
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. Like Jesus, Our Lord, and Savior who lived His life under the direction of the Spirit of God we are called to follow His perfect example. We have been empowered by the same Spirit to live and become a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in the sight of the Lord; only saying and doing those things that are pleasing in His sight to His honor and glory.
Yes! we are also on a Mission.

PRAYER
Lord, help me to live as Jesus lived and to conduct my life in a manner that honors Your name. In Jesus' name. Amen.
