CASNFCI SCRIPTURE & PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Spiritual habits
Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. — Daniel 6:10
Daniel’s habits of prayer were known to the people around him. He practiced this act of faith in truth and openly before his community. There was no question of where Daniel’s allegiance centered; even the king himself commented about the God whom Daniel continually served (Daniel 6:16).
Regular routines of righteous acts help keep us centered on God. Neglecting prayer and the study of God’s Word results in spiritual weakening. Rather, we need a break from busyness, to quiet time with God, this helps us reconnect with him as the source of our strength and encouragement.
The time we spend in prayer and for meditation on God’s Word must be highly valued; this helps shapes us into the people God has called us to be. We need to be regularly connected to the vine if we are going to see fruit develop in our lives John 15.
Developing spiritual habits matters as we fellowship with God and one another to keep us focused. Therefore, nurturing our faith in prayer and the study of God’s word must not be taken lightly.

PRAYER
Lord, establish in me the Spiritual habits worthy of my calling. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
