Jesus, My Shepherd

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. . .. — John 10:14

We all like to be known. Cared for and given attention to. It is heartwarming.

Jesus is a Good Shepherd. He willingly lay down his life for us. This is an incredible revelation in the journey of faith as designed by God for the redemption of mankind.

We are not following someone who doesn’t know us nor doesn’t care about our wellbeing. We are not following someone who doesn’t have a plan and purpose nor walk aimlessly. Jesus our shepherd knows everything about us and loves all of us the same. He has a plan and purpose for us. He gives us protection and provides for our needs as we journey through the highways of faith. Our successes are his delights. We are always under his watch no matter what happens. Above all he is a faithful Shepherd, he never abandons his v11-18.

There’s no place we can go and be known and loved as well as we are in the flock of Jesus. How much do you know about Jesus, the Good Shepherd?

PRAYER

Lord, thank you for laying down your life for us. You are a good shepherd. Make me a faithful disciple. In Jesus’ name Amen.
