CASNFCI SCRIPTURE & PRAYER FOR THE DAY

God wants us to succeed
He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success. — 2 Chronicles 26:5
Think about this question; Do you believe you can prosper and be successful and remain spiritual at the same time? “As long as [Uzziah] sought the Lord, God gave him success.” Sadly, we then read in vv16; “When he was strong his heart was lifted, to his destruction”. Uzziah had failed to remember the One who had given him success. He sinned against the Lord. God struck him with leprosy vv.16-19. He remained “a leper until the day of his death” vv.21. Just because you are successful that doesn’t give you the right to look down on others or even the hand that fed you. Some people conclude that all successful people are proud and can’t be humble and remain spiritual. Not so. People like Joseph and Daniel in Scripture were humble, prosperous, successful, and spiritual, their lives even influenced entire nations for God.
Are you satisfied with the way things are right now in your life? If you’re not, accept responsibility for your life and take a step of faith to continuously uphold and abide with that which the Lord desires. Ultimately the only one who can stop you from becoming the person God intended you to be is you. Remember God’s word in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”, and 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his glory and goodness. Therefore, if you’ve been settling for less, pray for greater and start aiming to prosper in life. The Bottom line here is: God wants us to succeed.

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for your plans to prosper me as I serve faithfully. Help me not to yield to pride but humble heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
