CASNFCI SCRIPTURE & PRAYER FOR THE DAY

God’s record
Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. — Revelation 20:15
But as we've seen in today’s verse, one day, all of us will stand before our Maker and give an account for our lives. And my life, your life, will be judged. What we do matter. Yes! our actions reflect and influence the person we will be. We are either becoming more like the person we are called to be in Christ, or we are following our sinful nature and wandering away from God toward certain destruction. Even if we say we love Christ but our actions show the opposite, we are denying the love of God revealed in Christ. What we do is proof of who we are. As James 2:17 puts it, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you unless, of course, you fail the test?” Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus”
God’s record of our words and deeds places great responsibility on us. Therefore, we need to ask, “Are we acting as obedient, loving believers, or as ungodly?”

PRAYER
Lord, develop courage in me to always do what’s right, showing your love and abiding in your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
