RENEW REFRESH REFOCUS
CASNFCI SCRIPTURE & PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Powered by God
Finally, be strong in the Lords and his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God,... For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. —Ephesians 6:10-11
Symbols of worldly power exist all around us. National flags and other symbols on government buildings and vehicles announce the presence of high-ranking leaders and officials. Uniforms and armor worn by police and military officers denote authority and a chain of command. Even at school, the group you hang out with can suggest your positioning among other students.
Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, instructs believers to “be strong in the Lord” and never walk in ignorant regarding the power of darkness but rather seek after the inner strength and characteristics that display God’s power. Only God’s power will defend us against the spiritual forces of evil seeking to destroy and separate us from the Lord. Therefore, the need for us to put the full amour of God is paramount so that we may live as empowered people walking in step with the Holy Spirit, seeking truth and righteousness, leaving footprints of peace like Jesus our Lord and Savior, protected from the flaming arrow of the evil one and walking in authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you Luke 10:9. All these are fueled by God’s power through Jesus Christ. There is a mighty source of inner strength for all who call on the Lord. We don’t know what today will bring. But whatever comes, we can have strength in the truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Word of God. We have been empowered for Warfare. Be strong in the Lord.

PRAYER
Lord, make our faith strong and fill us with confidence to live by your power. In Jesus’ name Amen.
